I Love Concept Cars…

Concept cars are great; most are so over-the-top that seeing one or two design elements make it into a commercially available product would be considered a rare success.

I get frustrated because by the time an interesting design patent is issued, the concept car has generally already been revealed to the public. However, every now and then I get lucky – see this post and this post.

A recent cross-over SUV patent caught my eye because I don’t recall ever having seen it before. What about you?

On a side note, they also recently received a patent covering this concept design, which is significantly different.
